The Leader is a one-act play by Eugene Ionesco from 1953. The theme: our love and hunger for solid leadership, the need for a domineering figure, a God-like driving force, the great everlasting hope and a dependable moral compass, immaculately dressed in an elegant suit or a flashy uniform.
